Archie Design App LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the GlobeKit mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Camera & Photo Library

GlobeKit requests access to your device camera and photo library solely to capture or select menu images for AI-powered translation. Photos are sent to our servers for processing and stored to provide scan history. We do not access your camera or photos for any other purpose.

1.2 Anonymous Authentication

We use Supabase anonymous authentication to create a session for your device. This does not require your name, email address, or any personal identifiers. An anonymous user ID is generated to associate your scan history and preferences with your device.

1.3 Usage Preferences

We store your selected home currency and preferred translation language locally on your device and on our servers to provide a personalized experience.

1.4 Purchase Information

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed via RevenueCat. We receive a transaction identifier and subscription status but do not have access to your payment details (e.g., credit card number).

1.5 Advertising Data

For users on the free plan, we display ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.

  • Process and translate menu images you submit.
  • Maintain your scan history so you can revisit past translations.
  • Convert menu prices to your selected home currency.
  • Manage your subscription status.
  • Display relevant advertisements (free plan users).
  • Improve our AI translation accuracy and App performance.

Your scan history and preferences are retained as long as you use the App. You may delete your scan history at any time from within the App. If you uninstall the App, your anonymous account data will be automatically deleted after 90 days of inactivity.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure server infrastructure, and access controls to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

GlobeKit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete such information.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete your scan history at any time within the App.
  • Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
  • Request deletion of all data associated with your anonymous account by contacting us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective date" above.
