How does the AI menu scanning work?
Simply point your camera at a menu or select a photo from your library. Our AI uses advanced OCR and language models to identify dish names, descriptions, and prices, then translates everything into your preferred language.
What languages are supported?
GlobeKit supports 17 languages including English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Indonesian, Malay, Turkish, and Traditional Chinese.
How accurate are the translations?
Our AI provides high-quality translations, but we recommend using them as a helpful guide rather than a definitive source. For allergy or dietary concerns, we always recommend confirming with restaurant staff.
Can I scan multiple pages of a menu?
Yes! You can take multiple photos of a menu from the same restaurant, and GlobeKit will combine them into a single translated menu for easy browsing.

Do I need an account to use GlobeKit?
No sign-up required! GlobeKit uses anonymous authentication so you can start scanning menus immediately without creating an account.
What are the subscription plans?
GlobeKit offers three tiers: Free (3 scans/day + 3 bonus via ads), Pro ($2.99/month, 20 scans/day), and Pro+ ($7.99/month, 50 scans/day). All plans include AI translation, allergen detection, currency conversion, and bill splitting.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions on your iPhone to manage or cancel your GlobeKit subscription.

How does bill splitting work?
After scanning a menu, you can add items your group ordered, assign dishes to specific people, and GlobeKit automatically calculates what each person owes including their share of any shared dishes.
Can I split bills in different currencies?
Yes! GlobeKit shows the split amounts in both the local currency and your home currency using real-time exchange rates.
Privacy & Data
What data does GlobeKit collect?
GlobeKit collects minimal data. Menu photos are processed for translation and stored in your scan history. We use anonymous authentication, so no personal information like your name or email is required.
Are my menu photos stored on your servers?
Menu images are sent to our servers for AI processing and stored temporarily to provide scan history. You can delete your scan history at any time from the app.
Does GlobeKit share my data with third parties?
We do not sell your personal data. We use essential third-party services (Supabase for data storage, RevenueCat for subscriptions, and Google AdMob for ads on the free plan). See our Privacy Policy for details.
